Afghanistan vs Palestine 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification

Afghanistan have played vs Palestine in 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification on 29th June 2011 first leg and on 03 July 2011 second Leg in Tajikistan the Neutral Home Venue for Afghanistan and Palestine respectively.
Afghanistan have played its home Match in Tajikistan due to security reasons in Afghanistan.

First Leg Favored Palestine which they defeated Afghanistan 2-0, boosting its chances of reaching the second round. Murad Alyan scored the first goal for Palestine in the 28th minute. Ismail Alamour got the second in the closing stages of the second half.

Second leg started with the first goal of Wadi Hossam for Palestibe in the 11th minute, while young Afghan striker Bilal Arezou scored the second goal which was assisted by me (Israfeel Kohistani) equalised in the 63rd.The second Leg match was favoring Afghanistan which the whole game and the control was in our hand.

The match was played in the newly upgraded Faisal Husseini National Stadium in Al-Ram, near the Israeli security fence separating the occupied West Bank from Jerusalem.


Afghanistan's dream of reaching world cup finished by Palestine, which they lost 3-1 on aggregate to palestine.

Afghansitan In AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Qualification

Afghansitan National Football Team Finished the Two qualifiers match In aggregate 5-0 vs Bhutan. First match played between Afghansitan and Bhutan on 23 March 2011 which finished in favour of Afghanistan 3-0. Sediq Walizada the star of the match made 3 Goals and hatricks for Afghanistan.

The Second Match of Afghansitan vs Bhutan which took place on 25 March 2011, exact two days after the first victory of Afghanistan, the second match favoured again Afghansitan to a 2-0 win over Bhutan. The first scorer Waheed Nadeem, who scored the first goal in 60 Minutes of the match in second half and just four minutes after the Nadeem, I scored the second goal on 64th Minutes, whcih lead Afghansitan to a 2-0 Victory and aggregate of 5-0 against Bhutan in AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Qualifiers.

Afghansitan advanced over Bhutan to AFC Challenge Cup Qualification round and grouped with Nepal, Sri Lanka and world cupper, North Korea. In their first meeting vs Nepal, Afghansitan Lost 1-0 to Nepal on April 7, 2011 in Kathmandu. 

Afghansitan next rival was Sri Lanka which favoured Afghasntian to a 1-0 Victory over Sri lanka with one goal of Mustafa Hadid. Same time Afghansitan required some points to reacht the AFC Challenge Cup 2012, and this was only possible if they were to draw or win over North Korea.

In last meeting of qualification round with North Korea Afghanistan lost 2-0 to North Korea, which Afghansitan failed to qualify for 2012 AFC Challenge Cup.

Despite all, Afghansitan played very well, hoping for future matches to win for our beloved country Afghanistan.
